Creamy Hummus with Garlic Chili Oil

Creamy Hummus with Garlic Chili Oil

This chili garlic hummus brings a little extra heat and aroma to a classic chickpea dip. The dish itself is creamy and smooth, while the warm garlic chili oil adds a savory, spicy topping that makes every bite more flavorful. It is simple enough to prepare for an everyday snack but flavorful enough to serve when entertaining guests.

The combination of chickpeas and tahini gives the hummus a naturally rich and nutty flavor. Olive oil adds smoothness, while the garlic provides a fragrant savory note. Chili flakes finish the dish with gentle heat and a slightly smoky, spicy character.

How to Serve Chili Garlic Hummus

Serve this hummus with warm pita bread, naan, crackers, or fresh vegetables such as cucumber, carrots, and bell peppers. It also works beautifully as a spread for sandwiches and wraps. For a simple appetizer, place the hummus in a shallow serving bowl and spoon the garlic chili oil over the top just before serving.

Tips for Making Creamy Hummus

For the smoothest texture, blend the chickpeas and tahini thoroughly rather than stopping as soon as the ingredients come together. Add the water gradually and adjust the amount as needed until you reach your preferred consistency.
