- 60 g black olives
- 90 g cherry tomatoes
- 450 g pizza dough Rolled
Make the pizza sauce
Add tomato passata, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to a saucepan. Stir and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Add the sugar and continue cooking for about 2 minutes, or until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
Prepare the dough
Roll the pizza dough into a 10-inch circle.
Grease a 10-inch oven-safe skillet with olive oil. Place the dough in the skillet and gently press it to fit.
Press and shape the edges of the dough to form the crust.
Spread ½ cup of pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Arrange the turkey salami evenly over the cheese.
Add the cherry tomatoes and black olives.
Sprinkle the grated pecorino cheese over the top.
Bake in a preheated oven at 500°F (260°C) for 15 minutes.
Broil for 1 minute at the end, watch closely, until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is nicely browned.
Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve hot.
A hot oven is important for achieving a crispy crust while keeping the cheese melted and bubbly.
Watch the pizza carefully during broiling because the cheese and crust can brown very quickly.
You can adjust the amount of turkey salami, olives, or vegetables to your preference.
